The World Health Organization recommends at least three hours of physical activity a day for children under five, spread across the day in short bursts it does not need to be structured exercise.
In practice, that means floor time, climbing, dancing in the kitchen, and yes, active toy play all count. The goal is not to hit a number perfectly every day, but to make active, hands-on play the default instead of the exception.
